Oinochoe with beak and red figure, attributed to the Torcop group, Etruscan culture, late 4th century BC.
Ceramic.
Good condition.
Provenance: Private collection, Scotland: sold Christie's London, 28 April 1993, lot 101.; Acquired at auction, Christies, 2008.
With export certificate dated 2023.
Measurements: 27 cm.
The body of this oinochoe is decorated with the profile heads of two women facing each other, each wearing an elaborate sakkos. Another female head in profile on the neck. Decoration of palmettes and scrolls under the handle, details in white added.
