Mark Knopfler is a British musician, singer, songwriter and producer, born in Scotland on August 12, 1949.
He is best known as the leader of the rock band Dire Straits, formed in 1977.
Knopfler is known for his distinctive guitar-playing style, marked by his finger-picking and clear, fluid sound.
In addition to his career with Dire Straits, he has also enjoyed a successful solo career.
His songwriting talents produced worldwide hits such as "Sultans of Swing", "Money for Nothing" and "Brothers in Arms".
Presented here is a Mark Knopfler signature limited edition model numbered 58 of 155, nicknamed "Ragpicker's Dream".
The same model numbered 02 out of 155 was in Mark Knopfler's possession and sold at the sale of his collection at Christie's on January 31st.
