Bambara, Mali, mid 20th century. Buru" monoxyl horn with beautiful curvature. The end of the horn, on the mouthpiece side, is phallic in shape. The generous, diamond-shaped mouthpiece, with its raised edges, is comfortable for the musician to play. The musician can create "wouah-wouah" effects by closing or closing off the bell with one hand. The "Buru" horn is played during initiation rituals or festive gatherings. Honey-colored patina with nuances. Easy sound emission, no cracks. Powerful, deep timbre. L: 62.5 cm, Ø of bell: 6 cm
