Interesting violin made in the late 18th / early 19th century, bearing a handwritten label "Johannes Franciscus Targnani fecit... Anno 1734", two-piece maple back with moderately fine waves, ribs and head of the same wood, spruce top with tight pores, brown varnish on gilded ground. 360 mm.
(Various breaks and restorations, traces of worms restored next to the joint, peeling of ribs...)
