made by Hippolyte Chrétien SILVESTRE from which it bears the label "H.C. Silvestre No 244 à Paris 1888", one-piece back in beautiful maple with regular, horizontal waves, sides and head in the same wood, spruce top with fine pores on the right, widening to the left, red-brown varnish on gilded ground. 357 mm. With original case from the Paul Blanchard workshop. Provenance: Lyonnaise family (family property since the early 20th century)
