The priest Vaclav Hajek from Libocany completed the manuscript in 1539. It describes Czech history from the beginnings to 1527. The great popularity of the work is evidenced by its early German translation, made for Prague edition of Mikulas Pstros in 1596 by town scribe from Kadan Jan Sandel.
