A RARE AND EARLY BRONZE FIGURE OF A TARA

Standing in tribhanga on a shaped pedestal with her right hand raised in abhayamudra, her left arm stretched along her body, wearing sari fastened around her hips with a belt, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments, her hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and a section of a halo behind her head.
Old South German private collection, according to the owners acquired in Asia in the 1960s - Left hand lost, partly corroded
