A BRONZE FIGURE OF PROBABLY RATNAPANI
Tibet, 14th c.
H. 15 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand in varadamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing dhoti, scarf floating around his shoulders, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, raised urna at his forehead, his hairdo combed in a chignon topped with a ratna and secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons, unsealed.
