A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF VASUDHARA
Nepal. 16th/ 17th c.
H. 20,8 cm
Seated in lalitasana on a separate cast lotus base, her principle hands in varadamudra and vitarkamudra, both secondary ones holding rosary and vase, wearing sari, scarf, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, her hair combed in a chignon topped with a ratna, secured with a tiara and a flaming head halo behind.
From an old and important German private collection, collected between 1950 and 1987, collection number C 89
