A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF YAMA AND YAMI
Tibeto-Chinese, 18th c.

Standing in pratyalidhasana on the bull reclining on human figure placed on the lotus base, his right arm raised while the left is stretched outwards, both hands originally holding attributes, naked, ithyphallic, garland of severed heads, scarf floating around his shoulders, bejewelled, his bull head displaying a wrathful facial expression with bulging eyes, open mouth, pair of curved horns, red coloured flaming hairdo secured with a skull tiara and his naked sister Yami granting him an offering, resealed.
