A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF MANJUSHRI
Tibet, late 18th c.

Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand holding the sword while the left the stem of a lotus flowering along his left shoulder supporting the manuscript, wearing dhoti, bejewelled and his face displaying a serene expression, resealed.
From an old and important German private collection, collected between 1950 and 1987, collection number C 64
