Earthenware plate with contoured rim, with patriotic polychrome decoration in the center of a man leaning on a swing against a spade, surmounted by the inscription "le plus fort l'emporte" ("the strongest wins"), on the other side a crosier and a sword surmounted by the inscription "nous jouons de malheur" ("we play with misfortune"). The upper part of the basin bears the legend "Egalité".
Late 18th century, revolutionary period.
