Napoleon III's visit to Amiens on September 28, 1853 is documented in a series of watercolors by Duthoit, now in the Musée de Picardie. The welcome at the station, the Revue Militaire, the visit to the horticultural society, except for the crossing of the Somme, which is immortalized here by Justin Ouvrié.
