Bronze with engraved decoration
Iran, Khorassan, circa 12th century, Seljuk period
Height: 11.5 cm and diameter: 43.5 cm
Height: 12 cm and diameter: 43 cm
These two faceted marble basins are engraved with a central flower, calligraphic cartouches and birds in medallions. Remains of inlaid copper can be seen on the crescents.
