Oscillum depicting Dionysus walking on one side, raising his left arm covered with a panther skin, and holding a thyrseus. He is depicted as athletic, with particularly realistic muscular details. He is accompanied by a panther. On the reverse, a satyr plays the aulos, standing with a feline skin over his left shoulder. Behind him, a shrub, probably an olive tree. Marble (small cracks and chips, especially around the edge). Roman art, Augustan period. c. 27 B.C. - 14 A.D. Diameter: 32 cm Provenance : Acquired from Galerie KOUTOULAKIS, Paris, July 14, 1979.
