Necessary case sheathed in green shagreen with octagonal base, inside sheathed in green silk velvet, containing a pair of cut-crystal salt flasks mounted in vermeil with engraved fleuron decoration, with their stoppers. The hinged lid is inlaid with a landscape miniature drawn on paper, mounted in metal with a steel bead border.
Late 18th century (small tears).
