Silver tulip-shaped tumbler on a pedestal decorated with ovals and mirrors, the body chased with scrolls, rocaille shells and garlands of roses on an amati background. The frieze under the bowl features the same ornamentation.
Master goldsmith Charles-Joseph FONTAINE, inscribed with this hallmark in 1769.
Paris, 1773-1774 (minor knocks, good condition of the chasing).
