François Daix, a lawyer at the Marseilles parliament and jurisconsult in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, was also a poet.
The work is dedicated to Guillaume Du Vair, then President of the Court of Justice in Marseille and First President of the Parlement de Provence. It is composed of numerous pieces of poetry: sonnets, odes, chansons, stanzas, complaints, elegies, etc., most in French and some in Latin.
A delightful copy, finely bound by Thibaron.
A restoration to the title.
