This model is inspired by the masked light arms in André-Charles BOULLE's repertoire. Some are mentioned in the after-death inventory drawn up in 1732 and published by J-P. SAMOYAULT (n°19, n°34). Masks of men or women borrowed from mythology - Diana, Heraclitus, Democritus (n°20) - or satyrs (n°62).
