José Lothe, in his 2008 catalog, considers this to be an interpretative engraving after a drawing by Bosse, which is not mentioned by the first cataloguer Duplessis, nor by Sophie Join-Lambert and Maxime Préaud in the catalog of the exhibition Abraham Bosse, savant graveur, Paris, BnF, Tours, Musée des beaux-arts, 2004, which presents this engraving under no. 79.
