"Never underestimate your opponent" could be the moral of this story. In this case, we might even add: "Never underestimate an adversary, especially one who looks like Billy the Kid and rides a machine that, although small in displacement, looks like a racing motorcycle.
"Ah, the 125 BPS! I dreamt about it when I was sixteen. A pure "paddock flower" designed, right down to the tires, for competition, where it has often distinguished itself. And don't let its modest displacement fool you! This little two-wheeled moth was capable of reaching quite high speeds. Add to this the chassis of a racing motorcycle, and it's easy to see why Guido and Manchzeck don't play as hard to get in the last panel as they did in the introductory panels. But, fortunately for them, the bad faith that always accompanies them means that, in the end, they don't lose too much face. Or so they hope.
