Historic alliance ring with a Fancy Yellow Brownish diamond in Old European cut and other diamond cut shapes Platinum with 10% iridium, 1 fancy Old European cut diamond (c. 2.10 ct., calculated weight), natural fancy yellow brownish, VS1-2; 2 small brilliant cut diamonds and 4 navette cut diamonds (total c. 0.08 ct. and 0.48 ct., calculated weight), slightly tinted white to tinted white (J-K), VS1-2. 5.58 grams. Ring size 53.5. Marked: 10% .... PT (stamped). Old European cut diamonds in fine fancy colors are rarer and are what make this precious piece so special. The delicately colored Fancy Yellow Brownish diamond was set in the center with an open bezel chaton, flanked by lightly tinted diamonds, which were also set using the bezel set technique.
