Historic necklace with six-carat marquise cut diamond, onyx elements, emeralds and diamonds Platinum 950 (tested), marquise-cut diamond (c. 6.76 ct., calculated weight), slightly tinted white (I-J), SI, with very good brilliance; c. 255 Old European cut diamonds (total c. 2.10 ct., calculated weight), slightly tinted white (I-J), VS1-2; c. 97 square-shaped emeralds (total c. 1.95 ct., calculated weight), rich green with some jardin; 10 round onyx elements, Ø c. 8 mm, 1 element slightly triangular. 33.97 grams. Chain length c. 390 mm, pendant c. 90 x 27 mm. Marked: French assay mark (illegible stamp). In the center of the pendant sits the large marquise-cut diamond in a customized bezel setting. The impressive stone is framed by an emerald bezel and a diamond decorative bezel, and an onyx element completes the piece. Onyx rings, bezel chatons and crescent-shaped elements with diamonds are arranged in alternating rows, as are elongated bezel chatons with set emeralds in the a-jour technique. The necklace is closed with a secure push-pull clasp.
