Art Deco bar pin with blue sapphires and diamonds Platinum 950 (tested), yellow gold 750, 3 Old European cut diamonds (0.62 ct., 0.17 ct., 0.15 ct., total c. 0.94 ct., calculated weight), slightly tinted white (I-J), VS1-2; c. 53 small diamonds in historical single cut (total c. 0.75 ct., calculated weight), slightly tinted white (I-J), SI1-3; 14 fancy faceted sapphires (total c. 1.20 ct., calculated weight), bright cornflower blue. 10.87 grams. 68 x 13 mm. Marked: 18 K (stamped). A filigree floral pin with a pronounced center and ends. These were set with diamonds in the cut and frame chatons. The finely colored sapphires are set using the a-jour technique. The barrel edges were embellished using the mille-grip technique, typical of the time. The pin guide is secured on the back.
