Jean Baptiste CARPEAUX (1827-1875): Portrait de Jeune fille (Jeanne Dervillé) en médaillon, original plaster signed lower right and dated 1868. Diameter 22.5 cm Heights from 2.8 to 3.5 cm. Provenance Collection Narcisse JACQUES (father of André JACQUES, painter, sculptor and professor at the Ecole des arts industriels de Genève, the last practitioner of Jean Baptiste Carpeaux), which has remained in the family ever since. Carpeaux exhibition at the Musée du Petit Palais, Paris, December 1955, number 118. Thank-you letter from Mr. André Chamson, Curator of the Petit Palais, dated November 1955.
