STANDING VISHNU SOUTH INDIA - CHOLA PERIOD, XIE/XIIE CENTURY Granite Standing in high relief, wearing dhoti and finery, Vishnu holds the disc (chakra) and the conch shell (shanka) in his rear hands. His front right hand performs the gesture of fearlessness (abhaya mudra), the latter resting on his hip.
