NAGINI STELE INDIA - PALA PERIOD, XTH/XIE CENTURY
Basalt
The serpent goddess is seated in lalitasana on a lotiform base, holding a snake in her left hand. The hoods of a polycephalic naga unfold around her head. She is accompanied by an ascetic in mortification, a bodhisattva and several hybrid nagas. On the front of the base, two orants in anjali mudra. (Restorations and fillings)
