Félix Tournachon dit NADAR (1820-1910). L.A.S., Paris November 3, 1903, to a "dear friend"; 4pages in-8 in his own number and motto Quand même!
He is recovering thanks to Dr. Gauthier's treatment: "five sessions of Dr. Gauthier's violet irradiations have already reduced the fibroma by more than a quarter". He has regained his sight, and lyrically celebrates Dr. Gauthier's work. After an interruption due to "that Nadar who never knew how to finish anything in time", he confesses: "Whether it's present temperature or my own decrepitude, I'm struggling painfully under a depression". Regaining his enthusiasm for painting Gauthier's success, he adds: "Madame Vanderbildt is providing all the millions to create a sanatorium in Paris itself". He concludes by saying that "our son has the frames of your prints at work"...
