Moukala Wood, steel, silver, bone, red and black paste Morocco, 19th century Length: 154 cm The flared stock and shaft of this moukala are partially covered with bone plates, and cut silver plates forming vegetal motifs and mandorles. The bone parts are engraved with medallions of concentric lines, geometric friezes and spiral motifs inlaid with red and black paste. An example with comparable decoration is published in: Hales R.
