Louis XV period three-tone 18K gold toc quarter-repeating pocket watch.
CASE: back decorated with gardening attributes on a radiant sunray background. On the edge of the dial plate is engraved: "Inventé par Jul Le Roy en 1740 et le Rouage en 1755".
DIAL: white enamel (chip at 3 o'clock), hour markers with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, railway track, openwork gold hands.
MOVEMENT: verge escapement, chain and fusee, cylindrical pillars, hammer, engraved and drilled cock, pendant repeater. The inscription on the edge of the dial plate refers to the 'repetiton à bâte levée' invented in 1740.
Dial and movement signed.
Movement numbered 3922.
