Draft of a 5-line poem collected in Le Guetteur mélancolique (1952), after pre-publication in autumn 1951 in Cahiers de la Pléiade (vol. XIII). with erasures and corrections. "I no longer know whether I love her Nor if winter knows my black sin Le ciel est en manteau de laine"... Above the poem, Apollinaire has noted two verse ideas "L'aquilon comme un assassin" and "mourir d'amour ou poitrinaire".
