Louis-Ferdinand CÉLINE. P.A.S. "Dr Destouches", Clichy December 14, 1932; 1page in-8 headed Ville de Clichy (Seine). Services municipaux d'hygiène & d'assistance sociale. Municipal dispensaries, pharmacy stamp (framed).
Doctor Destouches' prescription for the Clichy dispensary.
At the head of the prescription, which includes 3 medicines "to be taken in 3 days", Céline has noted the name "Bonabel".
This was Charles Bonabel (1897-1970), a typographer who lived in Clichy-la-Garenne; he came to consult at the rue Fanny dispensary, notably for his niece and adopted daughter Éliane, and became a friend of Céline. Éliane Bonabel (1920-2000), designer and decorator, illustrated several of Céline's works.
