Louis-Ferdinand CÉLINE. Typescript signed "LF Céline", Copenhagen November 6, 1946; 10pages in-4.
Memorandum in his defense, mimeographed in approximately 75 copies, which Céline had sent to France and the United States, this one signed in his own hand.
It is entitled: "Réponses aux accusations formulées contre moi par la Justice française au titre de trahison et reproduites par la Police judiciaire danoise au cours de mes interrogatoires".
Attached are 4 mimeographed ff. (6p.) giving a copy of the April 30, 1948 judgment acquitting the Denoël publishing house, a paragraph of which is underlined in red pencil, with a comment that this paragraph clears Céline "of the charge of having published during the occupation writings of a nature to harm national defense".
Cahiers Céline 7, p.245.
