René CHAR (1907-1988). Autograph poem signed "R.C.", Sur le tympanum d'une église romane; half-page in-4. First draft poem, with numerous erasures and corrections, and variant with the printed version; 7 lines. One of the Poèmes des deux années (G.L.M., February 1955), reprinted in 1962 in La Parole en archipel. "House to receive God's abandoned, Back stoned and blue with stones"... René Char has recounted the genesis of this poem, born near the church of Notre-Dame du Lac, in Le Thor (Pléiade, p. 1251).
