Long, amusing letter recounting the curious visit he had at his home from a woman who wanted to get to know him, and who soon became "half-deaf [...] I had the sudden sensation that the eyes plunging straight into mine were slowly numbing my shoulder.... I stood up, on such a gallant pretext that all that was left for my dangerous partner to do was to take off her shirt and get down to the most "direct" hand-to-hand - Rosalie, if I dare be indecent! - or let go. Which she did...
