[Marguerite de Saint-Marceaux, née Jourdain (1850-1930), widow of painter Eugène Baugnies, married sculptor René de Saint-Marceaux (1845-1915) in 1892. In her hotel on boulevard Malesherbes, she ran a renowned musical, artistic and literary salon; she was one of Mme Verdurin's models. She also entertained friends at her Normandy estate in Cuy-Saint-Fiacre].
