The paper is watermarked Esquire Bond/Made in USA/Rag Content. The work has been authenticated by Paula Cooper gallery and numbered LYRI 589 in the Carl Andre catalogue of poems. This number has been added in pencil on verso in lower right hand corner by Paula Cooper Gallery. The work is in very good condition. Provenance from a private collection, formerly owned by Frans Haks (1938-2006) director of Groninger Museum, Groningen (1978-1995).
