[Posters] Cassandre, A.M. (Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron, 1901-1968). L'Oiseau Bleu Lille, L. Danel, 1929. 100 x 61 cm. Professionally restored in corners and margin, re-backed with Japan paper. L'Oiseau Bleu was a famous Pullman express train that ran between Paris and Antwerp. It was named after the symbolic play by Maurice Maeterlinck (written in 1908). Cassandre designed the poster for the service's inaugural year.
