[16th to 19th centuries] [Caricature] Granville. De la pensée immuable a travers les populations Paris, 1833. Lithograph by August Desperet after Grandville, 33.5 x 51 cm. Framed. Centre fold as publ., somewhat browned/ foxed. Not inspected outside frame. On the occasion of a trip by Louis-Philippe to the north of France, Granville drew this three-part series with the tripartite subtitle 'Voyage de la pensée immuable à travers les populations empressées', poking fun at the king's ineffective rhetoric.
