Münchner illustrierte Wochenschrift für Kunst und Leben 7 bound collections of this influential German arts periodical. 1907 (vols. 1-2), 1908 (vol. 2), 1911 (vols. 1-2) and 1912 (vols. 1-2). Richly ill. w. col. lithogr. plates a wide range of styles: Jugendstil, impressionist, expressionist, satirical, etc. Ills. cl. 4to. Bindings worn, some top margins cut sl. short, browning. Not entirely collated, assumed complete. Jugend was founded in 1896 in Munich by Georg Hirth and published until 1940. It was originally intended to showcase German arts and crafts, but became famous for showcasing the German version of Art Nouveau instead. (total 7)
