Rare second edition of a book which became immensely popular and that was almost immediately translated in various languages. Exquemelin (also spelled Esquemeling, Exquemeling, or Oexmelin, ca. 1645-1707) was a writer best known as the author of this important source book on 17th century piracy. Sabin 23469; Muller 580.
