Restored copy w. newly inset or re-attached restored (washed and thinner) portions, trimmed to the plate mark at the left and right, a few tears and thin spots w. folds as publ. Sold w.a.f. The most spectacular and beautiful map of the area. The tiny portrait of a bearded man wearing a hat incorporated in the decorative borders of the inset profile is probably a portrait of the engraver Van Langren. -and 1 smaller engr. map of the same area: Guineae nova descriptio (Hondius, ca. 1614).
