[Photography] Czechoslovakia, photo album of the Sokol movement Album of 30 photos, most 9 x 12 cm, ca. 1930-1934, all inserted under passepartouts, w. printed captions in Czech, German, French and English below the images, the album itself gilt-lettered cardboard, 21 x 16 cm. A bit worn along extremities. Incl. 13 loosely inserted press photogr. on the same subject, all but a few w. stamp of Centropress Praha verso, some w. mounted titles in French; most of these photos show strictly choreographed mass athletic performances in Strahov Stadium. Unique photo album, clearly meant as propaganda for the short-lived, nationalist, Pan-Slavic physical education Sokol movement.
