Jade Kim usually represents in his works "MIN", an animated version of his wife. His wife's personality and characteristics inspire his works. He also portrays the rapidly changing world we live in and how it sometimes gets out of control. The perseverance yet tender characteristic of a mature woman can be interpreted as the cry of the current difficulties in our society. As Jade Kim says, "Looking at my paintings, I wanted to remind myself of what we had lost and what we had to protect."
Jade Kim is a visual artist who studied at Korea National University of Arts. She works with paintings and sculptures to create her character. Throughout her career she has been involved in the creative field, and after being in the exhibition planning industry for a decade, Jade decided to pursue expressing her true passion through paintings and sculptures.
