PHILIPPI BRIETTI (Abbeville, 1601 - Paris, 1668). "Annales Mundi Sive Chronicon Universale." Printer: Joannis Caspari, 1699. In Latin. In good condition with restorations on some pages. Measurements: 35 x 24 x 7 cm. Filippo Brietti was a French Jesuit, historian and cartographer. He was also librarian of the College of Paris. Several works on geography and chronology have come down to us from him: Parallela geographiae veteris et novae, 1649, 3 volumes in-4, Theatrum geographicum Europae veteris, 1653, Chronicon, ab orbe condito ad annum Christi, 1663 et 1682, 7 volumes in-12 and Philippi Labbe et Philippi Brietti Concordia chronologica, 1670, 5 volumes. In good condition with restorations on some pages.
