Standing holy water boat. Brussels. 17th century. Unidentified silversmith with 'horseshoe'.
Three volute feet on globe. Bowl with convex folds. Hinged lid with engraved monogram I H S, burning heart and cross. Wall plate with passion instruments, rocailles and foliage, crowned with Christ on the Cross. Old restorations and lacings.
Silver marks: city hallmark, year letter (crowned G), master mark, proof stitch.
