A Flemish toilet box and cover. Bruges. 1726-1729. Silversmith Paulus Chifflé (master in 1721).
Oblong box with concave, long sides and convex, short sides. Smooth walls with profiled edges and profiled lid.
Silver marks: city hallmarks of Bruges; year letter M for 1726-1729; master's mark; Belgian re-inspection mark (1832, superimposed).
Twice proof stitch.
