HERMES Paris. Gavroche in printed silk titled "La Tour Eiffel s'envole..." in shades of orange and green, signed SEFEDIN (Sefedin Ibrahim Alamin). It was designed in 2004. Note: "Sefedin was a 14-year-old Sudanese boy who lost his parents during the civil war, and later took refuge in a Médecins Sans Frontières base camp. Placed in a school for orphans, he drew chalk sketches that Hermes CEO Jean-Louis Dumas saw during his visit to the facility. Sefedin drew several squares, including "Nuba Mountain" in 1997. Sefedin was born during the war, yet all his creations are joyful, peaceful and full of color.
