*Rare huanghuali wood seal box. The front hinged door in burl wood decorated with multiple knots includes an opening handle in the central part, a closing flap in the upper part, reinforced corners in gilded brass, a carrying handle in the upper part of the box, the front hinged door opens onto a series of eight drawers of different sizes. CHINA, 17th-18th century. H: 27; W: 31.2; D: 19.6 cm (slight marks and traces of use). Provenance: Purchased in Singapore between 1992 and 1994. A certificate produced by Tomlinson antique house completes this lot.
