The second part examines the actor and his artistic craft; the third focuses on works and creators, while the fourth deals with Kabuki performance venues and their layout.

Alexandre Iacovleff (1887-1938) is best known for his work as a draftsman for the Citroën expeditions. Essentially a portraitist, driven by his fascination for the world of show business, he had previously undertaken a trip to Asia, where he produced remarkable portraits of actors in sanguine pencil, demonstrating his talent.
